WATCH
SVA video lecture by: Jakob Trollback
(it is in 3 parts and is a bit long but it is worth it and will help you think about the next project)

Springing forth from seemingly unorthodox beginnings, Trollbäck + Company was born when the former DJ transferred his aural pursuits to the visual medium, aiming to create emotive pieces that take their audiences to purely sensorial planes. | for your info trollback website| trollback and CBS

WATCH THIS ONE)

Aftereffects Tranisitions: please practice scale, moving text, easing, transparency, masks. Make sure you know how to do those transistions. So practice. Do them. Save them. Render them and put them on the server (this is part of your "process grade" for the project. Please do it and get it onto the server YourName_transisitions.mov. You can use what you did in class or make new. Only asking you to do this so that you know how and are gettign more comfortable in AfterEffects. Use Lynda.com if you are completely lost. Start with the basics until you are comfortable with using key frames.

Practice Animators use one word and follow along with the animation. Try to get it to work.
Dropbox for video (I will get this working by the end tommorrow)

EXPLORE THROUGH MAKING
Create 3 different storyboards for 1 speaker intro.
Just pick 1 speaker and explore 3 different ways you can use your kinetic system to introduce a speaker. Explore options. EXPLORE! (not variations) Use 9 key frames to tell the visual story of how the speakers name, title of the speach and conference branding move on and off the screen. The "frames" are key frames what is currently on the screen. You can download this storyboard. Use realy graphics/imagery. Use real textUse text to tell us what is happening with transitions.

AND

Create 3 MORE storyboards
THIS SET ON on how you could introduce your speaker AND visually show their quote on the screen. Please use 18 keyframes so show how this can be visualized. Same thing you need to do this in Illustrator, make 18 frames. show us what is in each frame and tell us at the bottom what will happen with transitions.

Each variation should make the visualization more...
_ dynamic,
_ interesting and
_ clear.

_ Explore contrast.
_ Vary type size,
_ orientation,
_ spacing,
_ placement,

as well as
_ reverse type,
_ omit,
_ slice,
_ block,
_ overlap words or
_ letters.

_ DO NOT use drop shadows or distort (stretch or pull) type in either direction, no cute shapes..
