Promotional Experience
________________________________________________________________________________________________________
In addition to your own font could work on a promotional piece. You can work alone or with 1 -2 other persons. Please do not make groups larger than 3.

Options
Create a promotional piece of any or all of your projects/exercises. It can be an overview of what you have done or you can focus on your final font.

Create a promotional experience featuring at least 5 "fonts" from any of the exercises nclopdh, ampersand, roman capitals, revival and or final font. You don't need a full character set to show a font off. If you like it then use it. You can pick them from anything your classmates have done (credit them) or just your work. *Last semester they had to use work from each other but if you don't want to that is fine.

It could be printed or an online experience.
Online you could use cargo or behance or...

Think about printing on large sheets of nice paper
Think about the Riso.
Think about making a design that you can make a polymer plate and letterpress*
Think about cutting something out on the laser cutter*
Think about cutting something on the router. 4 ft by 8 ft is the max

Check-in with me at least once a week on the promotional piece. You pick Monday or Wed and be consistent so you keep moving/ progressing on it.

Jayhawk Ink (pad binding)
Identify, Collect, Design a 12 page edition.
*Any page size from 12 x 18 to no smaller than 8 x 10

Newspaper Club
Identify, Collect, Design an 8 or 12 page edition.
Your final can be the pdf file ready to send to Newspaper Club.
* Please check their website for sizes.

*of course if you have another idea let me know.

If you are moving slow no pressure but if you are moving along and want to keep going just keep makeing can look at / crit whatever you have.

If you are moving fast that means you have time to refine a bit or consider making a variable or just have time to work more on your promotion.

Portfolio it isn't required that you put this into your portfolio but if you are thinking about it please take a stab at how it would look online and how you could present it in a pdf in an interview.
