:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: With a great desire to be a part of a design team, I am writing to you to express my interest in BrandX ’s creative department. As expansive as the design world is, I feel that my passion belongs to the creation of brand and identity design. In May 2007, I will be graduating from the University of Kansas, having earned a BFA in Design, with a concentration in Graphic Design and a minor in Art History. As a design student and future graphic designer, I would describe myself as an articulate person, with an extreme enthusiasm for the creative process. I hold skills of diligence and organization and my process is comprehensive, thorough and done with great depth of focus. Using my interest in photography, I spent the summer of 2006 exploring the culture and economy of China, capturing its details through a camera lens. What I find most appealing about BrandX’s creative strategy is the importance of the relationship between a brand and its consumer. An identity is not just about visuals, but also about the consumers’ experience. It is clear that BrandX’s success in campaigns such as Example A and Example Bis due to the attention given to building a pleasing experience for the consumer. I believe that this is essential when creating a positive consumer-brand relationship. Thank you for taking the time to look over my resumé.
