Design does not happen in a vacuum. Clear verbal skills are all important in communicating your ideas to clients and design team members. For all critiques, students are expected to come prepared to present their concepts, discuss how the form of their design supports their concept, and describe how they arrived at their ideas. Providing comment to your peers is a privilege. You will benefit from both giving and receiving feedback—you do not have to "like" another's work, but you must provide insightful commentary in a courteous and productive manner.

Poster Series
The most important thing about a poster is a clear concept and visual impact. The project is a series (not a brand extension) it is your opportunity to do some very nice illustrations or use of photography and typography. You can take an existing poster and make it better. The second part of this project is how you make this into a series. (This should not be a brand extension.)

PROCESS
Step 1: Define your design objectives. What is the look and feel. Audience profile. Call to action. Create a moodboard including illustration style or photography style. Color palette. Type faces. Step 2: Sketch at least 20 different ideas Step 3: Pick 3 directions and rough out directions Step 4: Refine one direction Step 5: Refine and build out the series. Use a tool kit to build out a series. Hopefully more than changing color, maybe message hierarchy, scale of image, image transformation, ....

Final deliverables
__ At least 3 posters in the series
__ Process and finals printed out and handed in for feedback.
__ Posted to behance
